WARMTH PROGRAMME

War Against Malnutrition, Tuberculosis and Hunger (WARMTH) was started by Catholic Welfare and Development and helps communities to set up kitchens which provide subsidised meals and are run by a community member. These kitchens play a crucial role in poor communities ravaged by TB and HIV/Aids. They are also being used as an entry-point from which education outreach can take place around issues of health and nutrition. (www.warmth.org.za)

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

This is an international partnership project for assisting low income families to build affordable, quality homes alongside the beneficiaries. (www.habitat.org.za)

LOAVES AND FISHES

This residential facility in the suburb Salt River caters for people in need of temporary accomodation while they find their feet after having lost their job or having been released from prison.

SOUP KITCHEN

A member of our congregation, Peter Anders, is co-ordinating two soup kitchens in Delft each of which provide a supper for 80 people once a week.
