INTRODUCTION

Rondebosch United Church has established an independent Trust for attracting donations to projects we have identified as meaningful and successful . We invite you to consider your support through prayer, networking, publicity and a financial contribution. We hope to hereby encourage our partners throughout the country and the world to become involved in our community. The Trust has been set up as an independent account administered by the church specifically to access and disburse funding in an accountable way. It is accountable to the Church Council and ultimately the Church body itself.

FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

The mission of the Trust is to form partnerships with other individuals and organizations with the goal of raising and disbursing funds responsibly for those projects which the church has identified of needing our support. It targets organizations with which the church has direct and personal contact in the Western Cape. Funds come from local and international donations, as well as monthly retiring offerings of the Rondebosch United Church.

The general focus of the fund is:

1. HIV/AIDS
2. POVERTY
3. PEACEMAKING
4. CHILDREN AND YOUTH
5. THE DISABLED
6. EMERGENCY RELIEF

OPTIONS FOR GIVING

1. PERSONAL SUPPORT: You can get involved in one of these projects through prayer and/or active involvement as a volunteer.
2. LUM-SUM DONATIONS: You can specify the area of need you would like to support, or request that your donation is allocated where it is most needed.
3. MATCHING FUNDS: Your can request that you would like your contribution to be matched by the Trust, subject to the Fund's capacity to provide, or raise the matching fund.
4. MONTHLY CONTRIBUTIONS: You may make a regular monthly offering to the Trust or a specific area of need.

BENEFITS OF GIVING THROUGH THE TRUST

1. No administrative costs or middle manager payments eating into your money.
2. Accountability: This trust monitors projects it supports and accounts back to the funders and the local church on allocation.
3. The Trust targets the people most in need.
