REPORT from Nelson Fredsell

on the work of the Samaritan Partners Trust:

In 2005 The Samaritan Partners Trust experienced a continuation of the charitable giving as seen in prior years, including contributions to a span of 18 different causes for more than R60,000.  Our congregation joined with five other congregations and NGOs from Germany, Canada and the United States in an effort to facilitate transformation in the Cape Town area. Broad focus encompassed people living with HIV/Aids (PLWA), and with intellectual and physical disabilities, children and youth, poverty, and disaster assistance. In 2006 SPT anticipates an increased focus on recipient organizations that are not direct ministries of Rondebosch United Church. In a spirit of hospitality we will continue to nurture relationships with our overseas Samaritan partners.
